  • I began my career in a different field, earning a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and pursuing a career in Operations and Business Analysis. While those initial roles gave me a strong foundation in business processes, project management, and requirements analysis, I felt limited in my ability to scale my technical skills and have a greater impact through technology. To pursue my growing passion for software engineering,
  • With a new set of technical and cloud skills but no direct experience, making a career shift to DevOps engineering seemed challenging. However, my background in business analysis, operations, and project management provided a complementary soft skills foundation that many peers lacked. I could understand the business context and needs that drove the use of technologies.
  • I embarked on an intensive self-study program to learn skills such as Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and more. I earned certifications in AWS Solutions Architect, Developer and SysOps to validate my knowledge in cloud infrastructure and services.
  • After months of dedication, I successfully transitioned to a DevOps Engineer role at ACME Technologies. I was hired to help optimize build, deployment, and infrastructures processes to enable faster and more robust releases. Within a year, I was leading strategic infrastructure automation initiatives to support a migration to containerized microservices. My non-traditional path to DevOps reflects my life-long passion for continuous learning and drive to push outside of my comfort zone. What I lacked in formal technical education, I made up for in adaptability, self-motivation, and a growth mindset.     Deploy backend application on EKS Cluster using ci-cd Jenkins pipeline

    The project involves deploying a Flask application and MySQL database on AWS infrastructure built using Terraform. The infrastructure includes an EKS cluster, Full network, and ECR.

    Once the infrastructure is set up, Ansible is used to install and configure Jenkins on an EC2 instance. Jenkins is then used to create a pipeline for the Flask application, which includes building the application, testing it, and deploying it to the EKS cluster using Kubernetes.

    The application's code is stored in a Git repository, and Jenkins is configured to pullthe code from the repository and run the pipeline automatically whenever there is a new commit.
